As the police continue to probe the alleged murder of a four-year-old boy child by his CEO mother in a Goa apartment, clues ascertained from the crime spot suggest the killing was pre-planned. As per police, the post-mortem report and the empty cough syrup bottles in the apartment clarified the picture.
Police said they were able to apprehend the accused Suchana Seth as the cab, which she was fleeing in with the body of her son in a bag, got stuck in traffic for nearly four hours due to an accident on the highway.

Suchana Seth, who is the CEO of an AI start-up in Bengaluru, was arrested on Monday for allegedly killing her four-year-old son. She was apprehended in Karnataka’s Chitradurga while escaping the crime scene in a cab with the body of her slain son.
As per police, Seth was estranged from her husband and didn’t want the latter to meet their child, as the court had directed him to meet his son on Sundays.
The police said she planned a holiday in Goa to orchestrate the murder of her son. As per a senior police official, cited by news agency PTI, two bottles of cough syrup were found from the apartment, where the crime was committed. Now, police have been probing whether the woman gave a high dose of cough syrup to the child to make him unconscious before killing him.
As per the police sources, cited by Jagran Hindi, the woman claimed she was not behind the murder of her son and the latter was already dead when she woke up from her sleep. The police have however debunked the theory.
The body of the child was handed over to his father, Venkat Raman, after the post-mortem. He had brought his son's body from Chitradurga on Wednesday to an apartment where the rituals took place. Later the child's body was taken to the Harishchandra Ghat at Rajaji Nagar where Raman performed the last rites.
