NEET Paper Leak Issue: A day after being detained by police for holding a sit-in outside the Prime Minister's residence, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi came up with a presentation highlighting students' woes due to the paper leaks. Referring to the lathi charge on students, the Congress leader said security forces brutally beat youth during their peaceful protest. 152 paper leaks have occurred in the last 10 years, he said, adding that the paper leak is directly affecting 75 million families.
There Is Anger Among Students: Gandhi
Gandhi said that students are demanding reforms in the system. "Not a single one has been punished in the 152 paper leaks. There is anger among the youth towards the system. Work needs to be done on the education system," he asserted.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the education system in the country has been destroyed. "The government is not sensitive towards students. The expenditure on the NEET exam is equal to the education budget. Students are spending Rs 1.32 lakh crore on the NEET exam, he added.
The Lok Sabha LoP said, "The question is why is this happening to our students? What exactly have our students done? They have security forces aiming weapons at them. What have they done wrong? They are protesting peacefully, they are asking for demands, they are asking for what this country owes them. They are simply asking that listen as students of the country, we deserve a fair education system."

He highlighted that children have committed suicide and students are compelled to go through unlimited stress, and at the last minute they are told that the paper has leaked.
"We are 100% in agreement with what every single student is feeling, what every single student is doing. And there must be some consequences to what has been done some days ago. It is not their fault," Gandhi said.
