Gujarat Crime: In yet another brutal crime against women and female children, a 15-year-old minor who stepped out to answer nature’s call in a village, some 20 km from Vansda town of Navsari district, was abducted and allegedly gangraped by 8, including a minor.
The offenders are aged between 16 to 21 and live in nearby villages to that of the survivor. The Navsari Local Crime Branch (LCB) on Thursday arrested all 8 of them.
What Happened To Minor
Three men abducted the minor when she stepped out to answer nature’s call, nearly 10 pm on Wednesday. These men took her to a village 3 kilometres away. Five men arrived there in a car and took the minor to a room adjacent to the water tank.
They threatened the minor, and all of them took turns to rape her. The complaint filed by the family states that the accused demanded a physical relationship, but when she refused, they raped her.
How Did The Family Find Out About The Crime
The family went to sleep around 8 pm on Wednesday night. The family began looking for the girl after her father woke up around 10:30 pm and noticed that she wasn’t in her bed. They tried searching but failed to locate her in the village and neighbourhood.
The minor was found in the family’s four-wheeler parked outside the house on Thursday morning, and when her parents asked her about her whereabouts, the girl revealed the abduction and gangrape.
The girl walked to her house after the accused fled from the crime scene. The accused were booked under sections of BNS and Pocso.
"Out of fear, she did not knock on the door and slept off in her father's van," said Deputy Superintendent of police (Chikhli Division) BV Gohil.
"All accused are known to the victim and her family. We got the girl's medical examination done, and her counselling will be done soon. We will also get the accused medical check-up done," Gohil added.
