Gujarat Road Accident: Six people were killed, and four others were injured after a private bus rammed into a van on a highway in Gujarat's Sabarkantha district on Wednesday.

How The Did Took Place?

Speaking to news agency PTI, Gambhoi police station Inspector Alpesh Chaudhary said that the van was travelling from Shamlaji to Himmatnagar when a speeding private bus struck it from behind. The impact was so severe that the van was severely damaged.

Six Killed, Four Injured

Six passengers of the van were killed on the spot, while four others sustained serious injuries. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

Chaudhary said that the police have taken cognisance of the incident and an investigation has been launched. Reports suggest that the bus driver's negligence and excessive speeding were the primary causes of the accident. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.

In a separate incident, five members of the same family died tragically on the spot following a horrific road accident near the Jodrahi bridge in the Danua Valley on April 25.

The accident occurred between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM when a Celerio (JH 10 CU 3472) heading towards Dhanbad was first struck from behind by a trailer that immediately fled the scene. Before the vehicle could recover, it was rammed by another truck from behind, crushing the car into rubble and claiming the lives of all five occupants, Jagran.com reported.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely destroyed, leaving the occupants with no chance to escape.
