The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of Town and Country Planning has stepped up its drive against illegal constructions and commercial activities in residential areas under the 'Office on the Spot' campaign. Led by DTPE Amit Madholia, the enforcement team displayed notices outside approximately 250 houses in Sushant Lok-3 for violating building norms and operating commercial activities.
The team, which conducted a six-hour operation on Saturday, found various commercial activities, including offices, guest houses, beauty parlours, dental clinics, and yoga centres, operating in residential houses. Notices were also issued for stilt parking misuse, servant quarters, and illegal roof constructions.

This action follows a similar drive in Sushant Lok-2 last week, where notices were pasted outside 150 houses. The DTPE has warned that restoration orders will be issued, and further action will be taken against those who fail to comply.
The 'Office on the Spot' initiative aims to conduct a thorough survey in a single day, enabling prompt action against illegal constructions and uses. The DTPE has given house owners seven days to respond to the notices, failing which restoration orders and sealing actions will be taken.
Amit Madholia from the DTPE town planning department, “As part of our ongoing campaign, we conducted a survey in Blocks A, B, and C of Sushant Lok-3 and issued notices to approximately 250 houses for violating building norms. The house owners have been given seven days to respond. If their replies are unsatisfactory, we will issue restoration orders, followed by sealing actions if necessary. We have been clear: commercial activities in residential areas, misuse of stilt parking, zoning violations, and unauthorised roof constructions will not be tolerated," Jagran.com reported.
