Gwalior Stray Dog Attack: The terror of stray dogs continues to haunt Gwalior and its surrounding areas, with yet another shocking incident coming to light from Bainipura village in the Behat region. A six-year-old child, who was playing outside his house, was brutally attacked by a stray dog that mauled and scratched his face, leaving him severely injured and bleeding. Family members rushed the child to Gwalior's Super Specialty Hospital, where doctors managed to save his life, reported Naidunia.

The victim, Bharat, a resident of Bainipura village, was playing outside his home when a ferocious stray dog attacked him. The dog grabbed the child's face. By the time family members rushed to the scene after hearing his cries, the dog had chewed off a portion of the child's lip and inflicted nine serious wounds on his face.

Child Undergoes 2 Hour Operation, Gets Over 100 Stitches

The family immediately rushed the bleeding child to the pediatric surgery department of the Super Specialty Hospital. Dr Chitrangad Choudhary explained, "Given the patient's critical condition, the decision was made to perform surgery immediately under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr Jitendra Grover."

The biggest challenge was reconstructing the child's damaged lip. Five large and deep wounds were found on his face, requiring a complex operation lasting nearly two hours and requiring over 100 stitches.

Situation Still Critical

After the successful operation, Bharat has been shifted to the post-operative ward. However, doctors said that the danger is not completely over yet.

Biggest Risk: Dog bite wounds have the highest risk of spreading infection.

Treatment: The child has been given high-dose antibiotics and anti-rabies injections.

Current Status: The child is still under close observation of doctors and his condition remains critical but stable.

In May this year, a stray dog created panic in Shivpuri after attacking several people across the city. The incident caused fear among residents as the dog injured children, women, and men in different areas in a single day. More than 50 people had reached the district hospital for treatment after being bitten.
Toddler Injured In Stray Dog Attack

According to a Naidunia report, the most shocking incident took place in Laxmibai Colony, where a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was playing outside her house. A black stray dog suddenly attacked her and bit her face badly. Local people managed to rescue the child and immediately took her to the hospital. When people rushed to save the girl, the dog also attacked them. One more person was injured during the incident.
