Loni, Ghaziabad: In a gruesome incident, a 31-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her lover in Uttar Pradesh's Loni on Saturday after she reportedly refused to leave her husband and children to be with him. Her body was found lying on the floor of her room in Prem Nagar Colony.

The deceased, identified as Rizwana, lived with her husband, Nisar, a tailor from Bhogaon in Modinagar, and their two children on the first floor of a house in Prem Nagar Colony.

According to Nisar, the accused, Faizan alias Behra, had earlier lived with his family on the second floor of the same building, while another family occupied the ground floor as tenants.

Based on Nisar's complaint, Uttar Pradesh Police have registered a murder case against Faizan and launched a manhunt to arrest him. Rizwana's body was handed over to her family after the post-mortem examination.

According to the FIR, Faizan frequently visited Rizwana when Nisar was away. After neighbours and the couple's children informed him about the visits, Nisar confronted Faizan and warned him not to enter his house again. A few days later, the accused vacated the building. However, before leaving, he allegedly threatened Nisar, saying that if Rizwana could not be his, she would belong to no one, and that Nisar would face the consequences for forcing him to move out.
