Jagran Correspondent | Vidisha: In a bid to promote digital transactions and reduce station congestion, the Indian Railways has announced a three per cent discount on general ticket bookings made through the RailOne app until July 14. Announcing the initiative, Saurabh Kataria, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager for the Bhopal Division, stated that the exclusive discount applies only to unreserved general tickets purchased via the application using UPI, credit cards, or net banking. Officials noted that the initiative aims to provide relief from long lines at physical counters, save passenger time, and streamline the booking process by eliminating the need to create a separate user account.
Single Sign-On System
Kataria added that the initiative would reduce crowding at railway station ticket counters, save passengers’ time, decrease cash transactions and make the ticket booking process faster, more transparent and convenient. The RailOne app serves as an integrated digital platform for various rail travel-related services, eliminating the need for passengers to use multiple separate apps.
A key feature of the RailOne app is its single sign-on system. Passengers already using the Rail Connect or UTS on Mobile apps can log in to the RailOne app using their existing user ID and password. There is no need for separate registration.
App Available On Both Platforms
Passengers who already use the RailConnect or UTS on Mobile apps can log in with the same user ID and password. A single app offers passengers access to a host of features, including reserved and unreserved ticket booking, platform tickets, live train status, PNR information, ticket cancellations and refunds, ordering meals at their seat, and filing complaints through Rail Madad. The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms and supports multiple Indian languages.
