Jagran Correspondent | Bhagalpur: The Indian Railways has announced regularisation of four special trains, including the Naharlagun-Hapa Express, which runs between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat via Navgachhia. Once regular operations begin, the serial numbers of the trains will be changed too. All these trains will run via Varanasi.
A railway official announced that the Hapa-Naharlagun Express (19525) will operate every Wednesday starting September 23, while the Naharlagun-Hapa Express (19526) will run every Saturday from September 26.
The Hapa-Naharlagun Express will leave Hapa at 12:40 pm and reach Navgachhia at 9:31 pm on Thursday and Naharlagun at 4 pm on Friday. Meanwhile, the Naharlagun-Hapa Express will leave Naharlagun every Saturday at 9:40 am and reach Navgachhia at 2:18 am on Sunday.
Is Bariarpur Station Neglected By The Centre?
Even as Bariarpur railway station is generating significant revenue for the Munger district and serving the people of several blocks, its facing a lack of attention from the railways. Located on the Jamalpur-Bhagalpur railway line, this station serves people from nearly four dozen villages in the Kharagpur, Jamalpur, and Munger Sadar subdivisions.
Despite this, many important trains do not stop here. Stoppages for trains like the Gaya-Kamakhya, Malda-Anand Vihar, Amarnath Express, Godda-Gomtinagar, Tinsukia Mail, and Patna-Dumka have been long-standing demands.
Despite generating an estimated Rs 6 crore in annual revenue, Bariarpur station is frequently bypassed by special trains that stop at neighbouring locations.

Only the Vikramshila Express, which is a stopover for Delhi, is able to get there from Bhagalpur. Travellers to other major cities must travel to Patna, Jamalpur, or Bhagalpur.
Shankar Kumar, Suman Kumar, Nero Kumar, Shambhu Singh, Vikas Kumar, Nirmala Devi, Asha Devi and Manjulata, along with others, have demanded from the MP and public representatives of the district to get the Patna-Dumka and Gomtinagar Express trains stopped at Bariyarpur.
Protest demand Halt At Katauni
A day-long protest was held on Sunday under the banner of the Rashtriya Bhrashtachar Mukti Morcha (National Corruption Liberation Front) demanding the resumption of train stoppages at Katauna Halt in Jamui. The protest was chaired by the Morcha's district president, Chandrachud Singh.
