Gonda: To improve passenger convenience, the Railway Administration has introduced the Amrit Bharat Express service between Khatipura (Jaipur) and Darbhanga, with a scheduled halt at Gonda Junction. Train No. 09711 was flagged off from Khatipura on Sunday. The service will operate on all days except Friday.

According to Mahesh Gupta, public relations officer of the Lucknow Division, the inaugural service departed from Khatipura (Jaipur) at 4:00 PM on Sunday and is scheduled to reach Gonda at 6:37 AM the next day before arriving at Darbhanga at 6:55 PM.

Under its regular timetable, the Amrit Bharat Express will run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The train will depart from Khatipura at 10:30 PM and reach Gonda at 12:37 PM the following day before arriving at Darbhanga at 12:55 AM.

For the return journey, Train No. 19726 Darbhanga-Khatipura Amrit Bharat Express will operate on all days except Sunday. It will depart from Darbhanga at 4:30 AM, arrive at Gonda at 4:40 PM, leave Tundla at 2:05 AM, and reach Khatipura at 8:40 AM the next morning.

Union Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh and Gonda Sadar MLA Prateek Bhushan Singh welcomed the introduction of the train’s halt at Gonda and expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister. They said the new stoppage would significantly benefit passengers from Gonda and adjoining districts by improving rail connectivity and making travel more convenient.
