Jharkhand Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that the weather conditions in Jharkhand are likely to change in the upcoming few days. It stated that the capital city, Ranchi, and nearby regions will experience cloudy skies with a gentle breeze in the next three to four days, leading to a decrease in temperature. The weather department stated that these areas are also likely to receive light rainfall, providing a relief to the residents from the scorching heat.
The weather department stated that Ranchi and other nearby districts are likely to witness light rain along with a gentle breeze on Sunday. Apart from this, seven other districts are also likely to witness cloudy skies and light rain from April 26 to May 1.
The weather department stated that several districts, including capital city Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Ramgarh, and Khunti, are expected to witness rainfall continuously for the next 72 hours. It further stated that these districts will also witness strong winds with speeds of almost 50 to 60 kmph.
The IMD stated that while the maximum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 39.3 degrees Celsius on Friday, the minimum temperature remained around 22.2 degrees Celsius. It further stated that while the maximum temperature was more than 2.3 degrees more than the usual temperature, the rainfall in the upcoming days will reduce the temperature, leading to relief.
The weather department stated that a low pressure area is present in an area of 1.5 km above sea level from Sikkim through the sea coast of southwest Bangladesh to sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
It further stated that the recent weather change will reduce the temperature; however, the temperature will again surge after May 10. The IMD had also stated that several southern states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu, will also receive light to heavy rainfall in the next few days.
