Railways News: In a major update for the railway passengers, the railways have decided to extend the services of train numbers 64033/64034, running between Old Delhi and Shamli, to Haridwar. The officials, while providing details, stated that the decision has been taken to ensure that pilgrims travelling to Haridwar for the Kanwar Mela do not face any inconvenience.
Train's Service Extended
While providing details, the officials stated that train number 64033 will run to Haridwar from July 29 to August 13. They further stated that the train will depart from Old Delhi at 4:25 PM and arrive in Shamli at 7:05 PM, adding that the train will arrive in Haridwar at 11 PM.
On the return journey, train number 64034 will depart Haridwar at 4 am and arrive in Shamli at 6:55 am from July 30 to August 14. The officials stated that the train will depart from Shamli at 7 am and arrive in Old Delhi at 10:10 am. The service is likely to benefit the residents of the national capital and nearby cities, including Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad.
Check Stoppages
The train will have stoppages at several stations, including Silawar, Hind, Usmanpur Dehat Halt, Harhar Fatehpur, Thana Bhawan Town, Thana Bhawan, Nanauta, Sona Arjunpur, Rampurmani Haran, Bhankala Halt, Jandhera Halt, Manani, Tapri, Roorkee and Jwalapur.
The officials further stated that the extension in services will provide relief to passengers from Delhi-NCR and those travelling from the western districts of Uttar Pradesh. The passengers have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
The extension of the train's services will provide an additional option to the devotees and is likely to reduce the traffic congestion on the key roads. Earlier last month, the railways stated that several special trains will operate to Jharkhand and Uttarakhand to minimise the rush.
