The obstruction occurred around 03:30 late at night due to a portion of the hill cracking on the footpath leading to Shri Kedarnath Dham, near Gaurikund. The Public Works Department is currently working to clear the path and restore access.
Given the current situation and the ongoing efforts to clear the path, the administration has temporarily closed the footpath to ensure pilgrims' safety.
The district administration and police have issued an appeal to pilgrims, advising them to plan their travel according to the latest weather forecasts to avoid any disruptions.
