Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu pays final respect to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and offers condolences to his family.

On the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti says, "We have gathered here today to pay our last respects to former PM Manmohan Singh who died yesterday. The nation lost a gem. In 2002, PDP and Congress were in talks for an alliance. Back then, Sonia Gandhi sent Manmohan Singh here, and for the first time, I met such a humble person."

On the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh says, "This is a huge loss for the whole country and the whole world because his status was different from politics...he lived as world renewed economist and had a different name in the field of economics...I can only say that many things were said about him when he was Prime Minister, but the words that were his 'The history of me will be kinder to me', today we are watching that thing, the whole world and the whole country is kind to him..."

On the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, NCP-SCP chief Sharad Pawar says, "Today, the people of the nation are in grief. He used to think about what is best for the country. When I was the CM of Maharashtra, he was the RBI governor. I used to talk to him during that time. Since then, I had respect for him."

On the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, Former PM and JD-S president HD Devegowda says, "When he became the Finance Minister, I was in the opposition. I know what are all the steps, liberalisation and privatisation. He serviced the nation, to an unbelievable number of people."

AAP leader Sanjay Singh on Friday reacted to the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "This nation will remember Manmohan Singh ji as a great economist and honest PM. This is a big setback for the nation. He played a very important role in taking forward the economy of the country...I pay tribute to him on behalf of my party and Arvind Kejriwal." he shot.

Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reached the residence of late Dr Manmohan Singh and paid him last respects. 

The cabinet on Friday passed Condolence Resolution following the demise of Ex-PM Dr Manmohan Singh.

President Droupadi Murmu visited the residence of the former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh and paid last respects to him. She also offered her condolences to his family members.

Following the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, ex-President Ramnath Kovind on Friday shared condolences and said, "The passing of Dr Manmohan Singh, is not just a setback for the nation but also a personal loss for me. I have known him for so long...he was an example of politeness...I believe that he was an architect of the Indian economy...I pay my tribute to him."

Reacting to former PM of India Manmohan Singh's death, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said, "Country has lost a good administrator and a financial expert."

Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi arrived at the residence of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh. Notably, Dr Manmohan Singh was the 13th PM of India. He took his last breath at AIIMS Delhi on Thursday.

Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi reached the residence of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh to pay the last tribute on Friday. 

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar cancelled his 'Pragati Yatra' on December 27 and 28, due to the demise of former PM Manmohan Singh, according to an official statement by CMO.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda paid their last respects to Manmohan Singh.

PM Narendra Modi paid last respects to the late former PM Dr Manmohan Singh and offered condolences to his family on Friday.

The Central government on Friday announced seven days of national mourning as a mark of respect to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who died at the age of 92.

The mortal remains of former PM of India Dr Manmohan Singh will be kept at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in Delhi for public viewing. According to Congress sources cited by ANI, the 'last darshan' will be scheduled for Saturday between 8:00 to 10:00 in the morning. All leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi will pay tribute to the former PM at the AICC office after which the last rites will be carried out.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the residence of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh. 

Remembering Ex-PM Manmohan Singh, Pilot said, "Dr Manmohan Singh's passing is the end of an era. Manmohan Singh ji and his life, contributions he made...he led from the front. He was remembered for his honesty and humility...he had friends across parties. He kept India first...he was a true son of India".

The national flag is flown at half-mast at Maharashtra Mantralaya as the nation observes mourning following the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy expressed condolences on the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh. He referred to the Ex-PM as a "man of virtue, impeccable integrity, marked above all by a humane touch in decision making".

"One of the greatest economists, leaders, reformer, and above all, a humanitarian of our times Shri #ManmohanSingh ji is no more. A man of virtue, impeccable integrity, marked above all by a humane touch in decision making, Dr Singh is one of true architects of new India. He showed how decency and class are much needed aspects of political & public life. He is a legend in whose passing away, India has lost a great son," he wrote on X.

"Truly, in his own words, history will treat him far more kindly, and respectfully, than his own times perhaps did. My prayers and deepest condolence for the bereaved family members," he added.

The national flag was at half-mast at Rashtrapati Bhavan following the demise of former PM Manmohan Singh.

Expressing grief over Dr Manmohan Singh's demise, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, considered one of the closest to Manmohan Singh, said he has lost his mentor and guide. In a heartfelt post on X, Rahul Gandhi wrote, "Manmohan Singh Ji led India with immense wisdom and integrity. His humility and deep understanding of economics inspired the nation. My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Kaur and the family," he said.

"I have lost a mentor and guide. Millions of us who admired him will remember him with the utmost pride," the Lok Sabha LoP further added.

Manmohan Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister of India was marked by both economic transformation and political challenges. Known as the ‘accidental prime minister’, Singh's rise to the highest office of the country was not through conventional political routes but rather through his remarkable expertise in economics.

Manmohan Singh News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condoled the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh saying that India mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that his thoughts are with the family of Dr Manmohan Singh, his friends and countless admirers.

"India mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. Rising from humble origins, he rose to become a respected economist. He served in various government positions as well, including as Finance Minister, leaving a strong imprint on our economic policy over the years. His interventions in Parliament were also insightful. As our Prime Minister, he made extensive efforts to improve people's lives," he wrote on X.

"Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji and I interacted regularly when he was PM and I was the CM of Gujarat. We would have extensive deliberations on various subjects relating to governance. His wisdom and humility were always visible. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the family of Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji, his friends and countless admirers. Om Shanti," PM Modi added.
