What is the MHADA Lottery?
The MHADA Lottery is a computer-based system set up by the government of Maharashtra to offer housing to its citizens through an open lottery system. The process is available to those with all levels of income. MHADA holds lotteries once a year in cities throughout the state (Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Nashik, and Nagpur). While there will be no lotteries held for the City of Mumbai in 2025, MHADA's last lottery in 2024 had about 2,000 homes ranging in price from Rs 29 Lakhs to Rs 6.82 Crores.
MHADA has been established by the State Government as the official housing authority for the Aihagarh area of the State. The latest report published by the Maharashtra Economic Survey 2025-26 states that MHADA has created more than 5.27 lakh housing units in the Aihagarh area by the end of November 2025.
