Bengaluru-Mumbai Vande Bharat: In a major update for the railway passengers, the much-awaited Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Bengaluru and Mumbai is likely to be launched this month. As per the reports, the train will operate six days a week from both the directions and will provide significant convenience to the passengers. The railway board has approved the introduction of train between KSR Bengaluru and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai.
Will Run Six Days A Week
The reports suggest that except on Mondays, the sleeper train will operate on all the remaining days of week from Bengaluru. The train will operate six days a week from Mumbai, except on Tuesdays, the reports added. The train number 27652 is likely to depart from Bengaluru at 10 pm and arrive Mumbai at 1.50 pm the next day. In the return journey, train 27651 might depart from Mumbai at 10:30 pm and arrive in Bengaluru at 2:50 pm the next day.
Train To Halt At Multiple Stations
The sleeper train is expected to halt at several stations, including Anantapur, Guntakal, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Solapur, Pune and Kalyan. While the official schedule has not been announced by the authorities, the train is likely to cover the distance in 16 hours, making it fastest on the route.
Convenience For Passengers
Despite having a high demand, there is no superfast train service between the financial capital and tech city of the country. Uday Express, the direct service between the two cities, covers the total distance in about 22 hours at an average speed of 52 kmph. With the addition of the Vande Bharat express, the passengers of both these cities will now have an additional option.
However, if required, the Vande Bharat train might be operated as special service before being regulated for the long term, reported Moneycontrol.
