Bengaluru News: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old migrant worker from Bihar allegedly uploaded an AI video showing a bomb blast at Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the Karnataka legislature. The person has been arrested, and police are looking into why the video was generated and circulated. They are also investigating whether anyone else is involved in the matter.

As per police reports, the accused has been identified as Hazarat Ali, who is a daily-wage pipe fitter. He came to Bengaluru a few months ago and allegedly posted the video on Instagram. Now, the investigation is on to find out whether his actions were meant to create public panic or had some other motive.

Netizens Express Concern Over AI Video

This incident has brought to light the potential consequences of such made-up videos, as it triggered a debate on social media, where netizens are expressing their concern. Others have questioned the arrest, the treatment of migrants and the limits of freedom of expression.

What Did The AI Video Show

The AI-generated video contained combined footage of a man making a gun-firing gesture and pretending to shoot toward Vidhana Soudha. It had edited visuals showing a blast at the building.

According to police, the video was uploaded on Tuesday morning by an Instagram account in the name 'jnx_king_h_g’, with a caption, "Vidhanasabha Uda Diya Bam se."

What Did The Police Say?

According to the police, the blast was fabricated using AI and that no such explosion actually took place at the building. The authorities took notice of the video during digital surveillance and then registered a case on Tuesday.

How Did Police Find The Accused

Police reportedly traced the accused through digital evidence like IP logs to link the Insta account to Ali. He was taken into custody while investigators tried to find out his motive and whether anyone else was involved. The case was registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) that deal with causing alarm. The probe is still going on, and the allegations against Ali have not been proven in court so far.

Officials have warned people not to share fabricated content that shows attacks on major government buildings. Such posts, they said, can spark unnecessary panic, particularly when they are circulated without any proper context or verification.
