Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Bengaluru commuters have been advised of traffic restrictions near Race Course Road, from Maurya Junction to Hare Krishna Road Junction, for the next two months starting from October 5.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police said the movement of all vehicles on Race Course Road, from Trilight Junction to Maurya Junction and from Shivananda Junction to Maurya Junction, shall be restricted for the next 60 days starting Monday as the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) takes up white-topping and utility works on the stretch.

The advisory has been issued due to maintenance work. New stormwater drains, sewage lines, and utility infrastructure works are also being carried out along the stretch by the Greater Bengaluru Authority.

-> The movement of all vehicles from Trilight Junction on Race Course Road towards Maurya Junction is prohibited.

Bengaluru traffic advisory for next 60 days: Check alternative routes.

To facilitate the smooth and uninterrupted movement of traffic and minimise inconvenience to the general public, here are some alternative routes:

- BMTC buses, private buses, and HGV vehicles travelling towards KR Market on Sankey Road shall take straight from Windsor Manor towards the LRDE Junction, take a right turn at LRDE Junction, and proceed via Basaveshwara Junction.

- Vehicles including BMTC buses, private buses, and HGV vehicles travelling towards Majestic on Sankey Road shall take Kumara Krupa Road to reach Shivananda Circle, take a right turn, then take a left turn onto SC Road, and proceed towards Majestic.

- Vehicles travelling from Old JDS Junction towards Trilight Junction may take the road on the left side at Old JDS Junction, take a left turn at Raceview Junction, and proceed via Kumara Krupa Road towards Shivananda Junction.

- Vehicles travelling from Trilight Junction towards Maurya Junction may proceed straight over the Shivananda Flyover from Trilight Junction, reach SC Road via Nehru Circle, and proceed towards Majestic.
