Delhi Police has tightened its security forces across Delhi ahead of the October 10 protest announced by the Cockroach Janta Party demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar. Unlike the July protest, the police are planning a better strategy to deal with the protesters more effectively. In view of this strategy, important meetings of all top officials have been taking place daily at Police Headquarters, chaired by the Police Commissioner.

It is also alleged that the Delhi police will place several politicians and activists under house arrest on Thursday, ahead of the agitation. Police and paramilitary forces were deployed around the homes of several politicians and activists on Wednesday night to monitor their activities.
