CJP Jantar Mantar Protest: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), on Saturday left his hotel in Mumbai for the airport to travel to Delhi to participate in the protest seeking resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over the allegations of irregularities in the SIR process. The CJP founder is expected to arrive at the protest site at around 10 am, when the pressure group will kick-off its campaign.

Abhijeet Dipke's Message

Earlier in a post on X, Dipke stated that there is only two ways to live one's life, either you just watch and accept the situation, or do something to change it. "Zindagi jeene ke do hi tarike hote hain, ek jo ho raha hai hone do, bardaasht karte jao, ya phir zimmedari uthao use badalne ki," the CJP founder wrote in his post.

'PM Modi Has Accepted Defeat'

In a separate post, while citing heavy security arrangements in Delhi, Dipke alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already accepted defeat. He further claimed that shutdown of the capital city and crackdown on protesters is the sign of a government's weakness.

"Modi has accepted defeat even before our protest has begun. The mass crackdown on protesters and the shutdown of Delhi are not signs of strength, but of a leader terrified of his own people," Dipke asserted.

What Are CJP's Demands?

The CJP has demanded Kumar's resignation after an Indian Express report revealed that the objections of two election commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi were not addressed during the revision process. The pressure group has also demanded a detailed inquiry into the allegations.

While the Delhi Police have denied the permission for the protest citing previous records and time constraint, the CJP has asserted that the protest will be held as per the schedule. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has also clarified that the protest will continue until Kumar's resignation.
