CJP Protest: Commuters travelling between Delhi and Meerut via the Namo Bharat rapid rail will face significant disruptions this weekend. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) on Friday said that Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar stations will remain closed from 9:00 PM on Friday, October 9, until 10:00 PM on Saturday, October 10, ahead of a protest called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
During this period, passengers will not be permitted to board or disembark from trains at either station.
Services Between Anand Vihar And Modipuram Unaffected
Despite the closure of the two Delhi stations, Namo Bharat services will not be entirely suspended. Trains running between Anand Vihar in Delhi and Modipuram in Meerut will continue operating as scheduled during the period.
Passengers travelling between Meerut and Anand Vihar can complete their journeys as planned without cancellations.

Advisory For Delhi Commuters
Passengers who normally commute via Sarai Kale Khan or New Ashok Nagar should plan alternative transport in advance, such as local buses, auto-rickshaws, or connecting Delhi Metro lines, from Anand Vihar station.
The NCRTC has updated its information alerts on the Namo Bharat mobile app, and real-time audio announcements are being made across stations and inside trains to assist travellers.
