Delhi Liquor Booking: Good news for Delhiites! Now you don't have to wait outside liquor stores during rush hour, as the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) has launched a mobile app for liquor lovers to get it in advance from stores through online booking, News18 reported, citing officials. The Delhi government's DSIIDC named the mobile application 'Delhi Liquor Booking' and it is available on the Google Play Store. Users can browse through different brands, bottle sizes, and quantities and then pay online.

How To Book Liquor From The App?

Once users open the app and choose the retail store and book the product, they will receive a QR code. They will need to scan it at the selected outlet to collect their products. It is to be noted that currently the option is available only at DSIIDC-operated liquor stores.

Age Limits And Home Delivery Options

The app does not allow users below 25 years of age to make online bookings. It also does not have home delivery option yet. Users must collect their booked and paid bottles from the selected store within 48 hours.

How Much Quantity Can One Buy At A Time?

At a time, a person can buy only 9 litres of whiskey and 18 litres of beer, according to excise rules, said the official. As far as the cancellation policy is concerned, one can cancel the order before pickup. However, there is no return policy once the consumer collects it.

About DSIIDC

Delhi has four government agencies that handle retail liquor sales, and together they run more than 700 outlets. DSIIDC is one of them and has started this new facility only at its own shops. For now, customers going to liquor stores run by the other three corporations cannot use the service.
