Delhi Metro Update: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Saturday issued a fresh advisory extending the closure of entry and exit gates at 45 stations by four hours, until 10:00 PM.

Gates at these stations, earlier scheduled to reopen at 6:00 PM, will remain closed till 10 PM due to security arrangements for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

DMRC Issues Advisory

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the DMRC said, "The 45 Metro stations, closed since 09:00 PM on Friday due to security reasons, will continue to remain closed till 10:00 PM tonight (10th October). Further, the situation will be reviewed by the security agencies, and necessary updates shall be shared accordingly."

Restrictions Scaled Down From 57 to 45 Stations

Earlier on Friday, the DMRC reduced the number of restricted stations from 57 to 45. Interchange facilities remain available across affected locations, except at the New Delhi Metro station.
