Delhi Weather Update: The weather across Delhi-NCR is undergoing a gradual transition toward cooler conditions as October begins. A sudden dust storm hit the national capital on Friday afternoon, temporarily darkening skies and reducing road visibility for commuters.

Sudden Dust Storm Hits Delhi-NCR

Commuters across the national capital faced significant challenges as strong dust winds swept through the region. The storm temporarily reduced road visibility and disrupted traffic movement on key routes.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), such conditions indicate a shift in seasonal wind patterns. The weather agency expects partly cloudy skies and pleasant conditions over the coming days.

Delhi Temperature Today Across Weather Stations

Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1 degrees Celsius on Friday, 1.9 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. The minimum temperature settled at 25.2 degrees Celsius, 4.2 degrees Celsius above normal.

  • Safdarjung: Maximum 36.1 degrees Celsius (1.9 degrees Celsius above normal)
  • Ayanagar: Maximum 35.8 degrees Celsius (1.2 degrees Celsius above normal) and Minimum 24.7 degrees Celsius (3.8 degrees Celsius above normal)
  • Lodi Road: Maximum 35.3 degrees Celsius (2.3 degrees Celsius above normal) and Minimum 24.2 degrees Celsius (4.2 degrees Celsius above normal)
  • The Ridge: Maximum 35.1 degrees Celsius (0.4 degrees Celsius above normal) and Minimum 23.8 degrees Celsius
  • Palam: Maximum 34.2 degrees Celsius (0.3 degrees Celsius below normal) and Minimum 22.7 degrees Celsius

Delhi AQI Today

Delhi's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 177 at 6:30 PM on Friday, placing it in the 'Moderate' category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Under the CPCB standards, an AQI of 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor and 401-500 severe.

Delhi-NCR Weather Tomorrow

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies accompanied by strong winds and isolated light rainfall across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad on Saturday, October 10.

This light rainfall is expected to bring down daytime temperatures slightly, providing much-needed relief. Residents are advised to monitor real-time updates, particularly if travelling outdoors.
