The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special train will begin operations on October 16, offering passengers an additional travel option during the festive season. The train will pass through Ara Junction under the Danapur Railway Division and remain in service until November 25.
The special service is expected to benefit passengers travelling between the national capital and Patna, including those from Bihar's Bhojpur district who use Ara Junction. With demand for train tickets rising around Diwali and Chhath, the additional service is aimed at easing the rush on the busy Delhi-Patna route.
Indian Railways runs special trains during the festival season as thousands of people take trains from Delhi to Bihar to join their families for the festival. Passenger load also increases after the festivals when people start returning to their workplaces and other cities.
The Vande Bharat Special will be an additional option for passengers who might otherwise have to wait a long time or find it tough to get confirmed tickets on regular trains. Its stoppage at Ara Junction is also expected to improve travel convenience for people from Bhojpur and nearby areas.
The train will operate on selected three days rather than daily. Passengers are advised to check the official railway timetable before travelling for details of operating dates, departure and arrival times, stoppages and ticket availability.
