Delhi Traffic Advisory: In a major update for the commuters, the Delhi traffic police on Friday announced restrictions and diversion on multiple routes in the central region. In its advisory, the authority stated that the vehicular movement will remain affected on such roads till 10 pm. The traffic police further advised the commuters to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconveniences.

Restrictions Announced On Multiple Roads 

While providing details, the traffic police stated that there will be restrictions and diversions around several roads, including ITO Chowk, BSZ Marg, DDU Marg, Mirdard Road, Mirdard Red Light, Ranjit Singh Marg, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Jangir Road, and Press Road till 10 pm. The concerned residents have also been advised to maximise the use of public transportation to avoid the rush.

The authority has advised people to avoid blocked routes, use alternative routes, and park their vehicles only at designated parking places to ensure the convenience of commuters and smooth traffic.

The traffic police have advised the commuters to plan their journey in advance, co-operate with traffic personnel on duty and follow the official social media platforms and traffic helplines for updates.

In a separate news, the national capital is likely to receive a three-day rain spell of three days from Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rain on Sunday.

The upcoming spell will cause a partial drop in temperature as well. According to the weather department, all three days - September 26 to 28 - will remain generally cloudy. On Saturday and Sunday, there is a possibility of strong gusty winds at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour, accompanied by lightning and light at many places to moderate rain at isolated places.
