Delhi Traffic Update: Traffic restrictions are in force across Delhi amid planned protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar on Saturday. The demonstrations centre on the demand for Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) row. In view of the protest, the Delhi Traffic Police has imposed diversions from 6 am, with movement likely to remain affected at around 30 key points across the national capital.

Commuter Advisory

According to Delhi Traffic Police, traffic movements at these locations may be regulated or diverted depending on ground conditions. Commuters are advised to follow traffic police instructions and use alternative routes wherever possible. They have been asked to plan their journeys in advance and keep extra travel time, especially if travelling to railway stations, inter-state bus terminals (ISBTs) or the airport through New Delhi and Central Delhi.

Commuters have also been advised to avoid non-essential travel through affected areas. Traffic restrictions may change depending on the situation, and some measures could be relaxed or tightened following real-time assessments. Meanwhile, security has also been tightened in the national capital, with Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel deployed in sensitive areas. Strict vehicle checks are underway in different parts of the city.
