Delhi Traffic Advisory: In a major update for the commuters of Delhi, the traffic police on Thursday announced restrictions on several roads in connection with a symbolic rally by women students of Zakir Hussain College. While providing details, the authority stated that the vehicular movement will be restricted for two hours. The traffic police further advised the commuters to stay updated and travel on the alternative routes to avoid the rush.

Restriction On These Routes

While providing details, the traffic police stated that movement is likely to be affected on several routes, including JLN Marg, Minto Road and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg. It stated that the restrictions will remain in place for two hours between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm.

"In connection with a symbolic rally by women students of Zakir Hussain Delhi College, traffic movement is likely to be affected on JLN Marg, Minto Road and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg from 1330 Hrs to 1530 Hrs," the traffic police wrote in its post on X.

Advisory For Commuters

The authority further advised the commuters to avoid these routes, use alternative routes, and plan their journey in advance to avoid any inconveniences. The commuters have also been suggested to follow the directions of traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement of vehicles. "Use alternate routes wherever possible, plan their journey in advance and follow the directions of traffic personnel," the traffic police added.

The traffic police further advised the commuters to track the official sites of the Delhi traffic police for real-time updates. Apart from this, the residents can also dial 1095 and 011-25844444 for more details related to the restrictions.

Delhi Traffic: Check Diversions

- Vehicles from Guru Nanak Chowk towards Kamla Market Roundabout will be diverted at Guru Nanak Chowk towards Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg.

- Traffic will not be allowed to proceed towards Kamla Market Roundabout and will be diverted towards Minto Road Roundabout to facilitate the smooth and safe movement of the rally.
