Days after detention in Gurugram over anti-SIR protests, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has announced a protest against the alleged 'vote chori' in London, urging supporters to reach outside the British Parliament on Saturday noon.

In a post on X late Friday night, Rathee said that he had reached the British capital and called on people to gather at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi to echo the alleged electoral irregularities at international level.

"I've just reached London. It's time the world sees the reality of vote chor and murderer of democracy," Rathe said adding, "International danka bajane ka time aa gaya hai (Time to ring the bells at international level)."

Notably, Rathee was detained from his Gurugram residence on October 10 as authorities stepped up preventive measures before the planned by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.

He was released the next day, (October 11), at around 3 AM, after spending nearly 18 hours in custody. CJP leaders and workers, including Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were also detained the same day and were released on October 11 after signing a conditional bail bond.

Bora was released on Saturday (October 17) and Dipke was arrested for breach of peace bond.

Meanwhile, the continued protests ignited resentment among the traders as they had made the appeal ahead of CJP's Lehra Do Tiranga protest. Traders at Connaught Place claimed that the violent demonstrations had caused a decline of 70 per cent in customer footfall.

Making an emotional appeal, business owners in CP called on protesters and political parties to allow businesses to operate without disruption during the ongoing festive season.
