Northern Railway Festival Train 2026: Northern Railway is getting ready for the festive travel rush by scheduling more than 6,200 special-train trips for Diwali and Chhath. The planned services represent an increase of around 30% over the 4,666 trips operated during the previous festive season, giving passengers more options to travel to their hometowns.

42 Regularised Trains to Add 2,600 Trips

The festive travel programme will also include 42 trains that have recently been made regular. These services are expected to account for approximately 2,600 trips during the festive period, adding to the railway zone’s overall capacity to accommodate the increase in passenger demand.
