Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a car within the jurisdiction of the IS Sadan Police Station in Hyderabad. The accident occurred on Saturday night and was captured on CCTV.

Boy Struck While Crossing Road

The child, identified as Izanuddin, was hit by the vehicle while crossing a road. He sustained severe injuries in the accident and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Speaking to news agency ANI, an IS Sadan Police official said, "A three-year-old boy, Izanuddin, lost his life last night after being hit by a car while crossing the road. He sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. We have registered a case and are investigating the matter."

Case Registered

The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident. CCTV footage of the incident is also being examined as part of the investigation.

Pedestrian Safety Concerns In Hyderabad

The incident highlights broader concerns over road safety and pedestrian vulnerability in Hyderabad.

Earlier this month, a separate accident near Khajaguda resulted in the death of one pedestrian and left a law student injured following two successive collisions. In that case, police subsequently tracked the vehicles through technical evidence and CCTV footage.

Neurosurgeon Burnt Alive In Telangana

In a tragic accident, a 50-year-old doctor was burnt alive after the car he was driving caught fire after hitting a road divider in Suryapet district of Telangana on Sunday. The doctor was travelling from Khammam to Hyderabad to meet his family when the accident occurred. A video of the incident showing the car engulfed in flames has been circulating on the internet.

The deceased was identified as K Jagadish, a neurosurgeon working at Mamata Hospital in Khammam. He was identified through the vehicle’s registration number. After completing his work on Sunday, he was reportedly returning to Hyderabad to meet his family.
