The Supreme Court-appointed high-powered inquiry committee has launched a new portal for protesters and personnel on duty to file complaints and representations over being affected by the violence that took place at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and other places during the July 2026 protests.

Speaking about the development, the Home Ministry officials on Saturday said that the portal, HPEC, has been launched and police personnel can also lodge their complaints on the portal. The committee will investigate the matters mentioned in the top court order.

Talking about the cases, the officials added that those involving use of pellet guns, harassment of women protesters, excessive violence by any side and damage to property would be taken up on a priority basis.

Meanwhile, the portal has been designed to keep the vulnerable witnesses protected along with allowing affected individuals to remain anonymous if they wish.
