Karnataka: A horrific incident has come to light in Karnataka's Raichur district, where a 25-year-old woman was brutally murdered. Police suspect she was beaten to death with a stone. After that, the accused allegedly left her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter on her body.
Daughter Found Crying, Clinging To Her Mother
The incident occurred in RH Camp-5 within the Sindhanur subdivision. The victim, identified as Sneha, a resident of RH Camp-4, was found in a field on the outskirts of the village. When local residents discovered her body, Sneha's daughter was seen crying and clinging to her mother, NDTV reported.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Sindhanur Rural Police arrived at the scene. Sneha was still breathing when officers reached the spot, but she later succumbed to her injuries during medical treatment.
Sindhanur Rural Police have initiated an investigation into the case. The woman's body has been sent to the Sindhanur Taluk Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Husband And Lover Taken Into Custody
According to preliminary police findings, Sneha had been married to her husband, Amit, for four years and was allegedly in an extramarital relationship with a man named Shubham for four months.
Authorities have taken both men into custody and are interrogating them to identify the culprit and the motive behind the crime.
13-Year-Old Boy Abducted And Killed In Bengaluru
In a separate incident in Bengaluru, a 13-year-old boy was allegedly abducted and killed by his neighbour. The main accused is a London-returned 28-year-old highly educated man, Bhaskar Reddy. According to police, he abducted the boy for ransom from his family.
Police on Saturday said Reddy has been arrested and a search for his alleged accomplice is underway.
