In a tragic incident, a speeding Tata Tiago EV crashed into six vehicles on Ludhiana’s Bahadurke Road on Thursday evening, September 24, leaving five people injured. The collision sent a motorcyclist flying around 30 feet away, overturned an e-rickshaw and damaged a bicycle, an Activa scooter, a motorcycle and two e-rickshaws. Police have taken the car driver into custody.
The accident took place at around 4:35 pm and was captured on CCTV. The footage shows traffic moving normally on the road before the white Tiago EV suddenly approaches at high speed and hits a cyclist and a motorcyclist.

The impact throws the biker into the air. He reportedly tumbles several times before landing on the road about 30 feet from the point of collision. The car continues moving after the first impact, hitting an Activa and two e-rickshaws coming from the opposite direction. One of the e-rickshaws overturns following the collision.

Five Injured In Ludhiana Crash
Five people were injured in the accident and taken to hospital. Jatinder Pal Singh, the driver of one of the e-rickshaws, was among those hurt.
Singh claimed that the Tiago EV was travelling at around 100 to 120 kilometres per hour. He also alleged that the driver may have been under the influence of intoxicants. The claim has not been independently confirmed, and police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Police from Salem Tabri reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and took the driver into custody. Investigators are examining the CCTV footage and other evidence as they establish how the crash occurred.
