Pune Ganesh Procession Traffic Alert: The Pune traffic police have announced several restrictions across the city from Friday in view of the Ganesh Visarjan procession. In its advisory, the authority announced restriction on vehicular movement on 17 major roads across the city from Friday morning until the procession ends, at least till Saturday. It stated that the decision has been taken to minimize the rush as thousands are likely to participate in the religious event.

Pune Traffic Police Issue Advisory

While providing details, the authority stated that several roads, including Laxmi Road, Shivaji Road, and Tilak Road will remain closed will remain closed from the early hours of Friday. The traffic police stated that the main immersion procession will be held on four roads of the city- Laxmi Road, Tilak Road, Kumthekar Road and Kelkar Road. It advised the commuters to avoid travelling on these routes, especially during the peak hours, to avoid the rush.

- Chhatrapati Shivaji Road between Kakasaheb Gadgil Statue and Jadhav Chowk
- Pune-Satara Road between Volga Chowk and Jadhav Chowk
- Bajirao Road from Savarkar Chowk to Futka Buruj Chowk
- Kumthekar Road from Tilak Chowk to Chitale Corner Chowk
- Guru Nanak Road from Devjibaba Chowk to Hamzekhan Chowk to Govind Halwai Chowk
- Solapur Road from Seven Loves Chowk to Jadhav Chowk

The residents have been advised to utilize the public transportation, follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
