The Railway Ministry has approved the introduction of a new tri-weekly Amrit Bharat Express between Bhuj in Gujarat and Barauni in Bihar. Covering 2,532 km across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, the service aims to strengthen connectivity between the country's western and eastern regions.
Officials told news agency PTI that a date for the commencement of its services will be announced soon.
Schedule And Stoppages Of Bhuj-Barauni Amrit Bharat Express
The service will run three days a week in both directions:
- Train No. 19427 (Bhuj to Barauni): Departs Bhuj at 5:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, reaching Barauni at 4:05 AM.
- Train No. 19428 (Barauni to Bhuj): Departs Barauni at 11:55 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, reaching Bhuj at 1:15 PM.
Stoppages: Samakhiali, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Samastipur.
Extension Of Jhansi-Agra Cantt Express Up To Mathura
The Ministry has also approved the extension of the Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Agra Cantt Express (Train No. 11901/11902) to Mathura Station. The extension expands the train's total travel distance from 217 km to 270 km.
"The extension will provide an additional train service between Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi and Mathura, offering greater convenience to passengers travelling between Jhansi, Agra and Mathura," the Ministry said in a statement.
- Train No. 11901 (Jhansi to Mathura): Departs Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi at 4:00 PM and arrives in Mathura at 11:00 PM.
- Train No. 11902 (Mathura to Jhansi): Departs Mathura at 5:05 AM and arrives in Jhansi at 12:50 PM.
Additional Stoppages: The extended portion will have commercial stoppages at Raja ki Mandi, Runkuta, Deen Dayal Dham, and Baad.
