Shraddha Dubey, the influencer absconding after the death of her boyfriend Shiva Sharma in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, has released a video message asserting that his death was a suicide, not a murder.
In over a minute-long video, Shraddha said, "What have I done wrong? I have done nothing. Regarding the Shiva Sharma case, I wanted to clarify that it was not a murder- it was a suicide."
Denying being on the run, Shraddha added that she is not in a good condition and urged people to not link her name to any politician or officials.
"Please consider my current state; I am not in a good condition. I am not physically fit at this moment. I earnestly request that you stop linking my name to any high-ranking officials or politicians, as I have absolutely no involvement with them," she added.
Shraddha said that she would tell the complete truth to the police. She, along with her sister, Rashmi, has been absconding since the incident. The Lucknow Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each.
Shiva Sharma, a 28-year-old man and businessman running a chain of restaurants, died after falling from the fourth floor of her flat in the state capital.
Shiva's mother, Ranjana Sharma, had filed a complaint with the police alleging murder. The police have registered an FIR against Shraddha, her sister, a driver named Danish, an associate named Adil and other unidentified persons.
In her complaint, Ranjana alleged that Shraddha had been threatening to defame him by circulating his obscene video. Ranjana also alleged physical violence against her son by Shraddha.
Shraddha Dubey fled to Nepal
Shraddha has been spotted in an e-rickshaw in Nepal. She is reported to be preparing to flee to another country from there. She is suspected to have fled through the border from UP's Bahraich district. The police have found a black Scorpio allegedly belonging to her in a private lot near the Nepal border in Rupaidiah.
