Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the next two to three days. As per the weather department, around 20 states are expected to witness rainfall along with thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

Rain Likely In Multiple States

As per the forecast, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in 20 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. The authority stated that the Eastern states are also expected to witness thunderstorms and lightning. The storm speed of the wind is expected to reach 70 to 75 kilometers per hour, the IMD added.

Will It Rain In Delhi?

The weather department has stated that Delhi and its nearby cities are likely to witness light rain, along with gentle breeze throughout the day. While the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be calculated at 34 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is likely to remain at 24 degrees Celsius.

Rain Alert For UP Districts

A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms in several parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Hapur, Mahamaya Nagar, Moradabad, Sambhal, Bulandshahr, Etah, Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Sitapur, Auraiya, Kanpur, Bijnor, Mainpuri, Hardoi, Jhansi, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur.

Bihar Weather Update

Apart from this, the IMD stated that heavy rainfall is expected in multiple districts of Bihar, such as Gopalganj, Patna, Gaya, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Munger and Begusarai. The farmers of these states have been advised to protect their crops and limit their outings during the rain activities.
