His exclusive content is charged at Rs 180 (Android) and Rs 199 (iPhone) per month. At present, over 2,000 people have subscribed to Major's exclusive Instagram content, highlighting his social media influence. One of the most recognisable military personalities on social media, Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal has been the talk of the town since his deployment as Aide-de-Camp to the President. 

After retiring voluntarily, he joined Instagram and introduced this exclusive content section a few days ago. However, social media has been divided over this. While some have supported him, there are a few who have questioned the move. No matter what, Rishabh Singh Sambyal has continued to be at the centre stage of social media.

Rishabh Singh Sambyal’s decision to introduce exclusive content for a fee has turned into a larger conversation about how former military personnel should navigate their public life after retirement. While many questioned his move to charge money for content, many supported him with arguments that former officers must have the freedom to pursue other opportunities and monetise their audience. 

One user wrote, “After putting in 12 solid years with the Army, this man hung up his uniform. Now he’s making a living the legitimate way on IG & somehow that’s supposed to tarnish the Army’s reputation? Most of the people pointing fingers never spent a single day serving the nation themselves."

Idealising him as a role model to Gen Z, another user argued that, “His content makes more sense; nothing should be free, as it loses the respect of earning. He should be a role model for many Gen Z on how to bring pride to India and build a multidimensional career after retirement. Remember, a fee is always a must; nothing should be free."

Responding to the criticism, Major Sambyal wrote, “Some see a downgrade. A soldier sees another way to serve."

Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal became the national crush during his tenure as an ADC for President Droupadi Murmu. His appearances with the President have grabbed everyone’s attention and made him a social media trending personality. Before taking an early retirement, he served the Indian Army for around 12 years.  During his service, he led the  Jat Regiment's contingent at the 2021 Republic Day Parade and won the prestigious Best Marching Contingent Trophy.
