Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on Thursday stirred a fresh row after she disclosed the location and movements of two senior BJP leaders in Kolkata, West Bengal, and issued them a warning that their party president, Nitin Nabin, won't be able to save them in the state.
In a post on X, Moitra shared an image of BJP leader Saurabh Singh, Professor Swadesh Singh and tennis legend Leander Paes. The image showed two leaders encircled with "S+S" written over them.
Saurabh Singh is a former BJP MLA from Chhattisgarh. In her post, Mahua alleged that Singh was engaged in some "distribution" activities, suggesting an attempt to influence the voters on the day of polling.
The TMC MP also revealed where Singh was heading next.
The post by the Krishnanagar TMC MP read, "Beware, Saurabh Singh, after my tweet, you are checking out of the Elgin Hotel and going to the Novotel with your team to continue distribution. This is Bengal - Nitin Nabin won't be able to save you here."
'You will not escape' warning in earlier post
In an earlier post, Mahua had alleged that the leaders were sent by the top brass of the BJP to distribute cash and engage in extortion activities.

The first phase of voting in the West Bengal Assembly elections is underway. The voting day has seen sporadic incidents of poll violence. The second and final phase of voting in the state is set to be held on April 29. The counting of votes will take place on May 4.
