Noida Airport Update: In a major update for the flight passengers, the Noida International Airport (NIA) is set to significantly boost its network and flight services from July 1. As per the officials, the airport, which opened on June 15, has overcome all the challenges in the first 10 days and has stabilised the operations. They further stated that the airport will begin flight services to around 17 cities from July.

While providing details, NIA Vice Chairman Christoph Schnellmann stated that the infrastructure has been tested through real-life operations. He further stated that the airport will operate around 40 flights on a daily basis and will connect at least 15 destinations.

'Satisfied With Operations'

"Overall, we are very satisfied with the first 10 days of operations. There are still some issues we are working on, but we have succeeded in giving passengers the airport experience we had hoped for. We have had time to test the infrastructure through real-life operations, and now we are ready to expand operations from July 1," Schnellmann was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

"On that day, we will connect to 16-17 destinations and operate around 40-45 daily flights," he added.
