Noida International Airport: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of Noida International Airport at Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, fostering a new era of infrastructure development, which will boost Noida's economy and create thousands of jobs. The world-class airport will boost regional economic growth, tourism, and investment while offering a seamless passenger experience by combining Swiss efficiency with Indian hospitality and will also help ease congestion at existing airports in the region.
The airport will not only strengthen air connectivity but also set new benchmarks in green infrastructure, while generating investment and employment in line with the Yogi Adityanath government's vision of sustainable development.
The inauguration of Noida International Airport marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards becoming a global aviation hub. The airport, envisioned as a major international gateway for the National Capital Region (NCR), represents a major step in strengthening Uttar Pradesh's economy.
Noida International Airport has been developed as the second international airport for the Delhi NCR region, complementing Indira Gandhi International Airport. Together, the two airports will function as an integrated aviation system, easing congestion, expanding passenger capacity, and positioning Delhi NCR among leading global aviation hubs.
Rs 11,200 Crore Invested In PPP Model
Noida International Airport is among the largest greenfield airport projects in India. Phase I of Noida International Airport has been developed at a total investment of around ₹11,200 crore under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model. The airport will initially have a passenger handling capacity of 12 million passengers per annum (MPPA), with scalability up to 70 MPPA upon full development. It features a 3,900-meter runway capable of handling wide-body aircraft, along with modern navigation systems including Instrument Landing System (ILS) and advanced airfield lighting to support efficient, all-weather, round-the-clock operations.

Multi-Modal Cargo Hub To Offers Numerous Employments
The airport also incorporates a robust cargo ecosystem, including a Multi-Modal Cargo Hub, featuring an Integrated Cargo Terminal and logistics zones. The cargo facility is designed to handle over 2.5 lakh metric tonnes annually, expandable to around 18 lakh metric tonnes, and includes a dedicated 40-acre Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility.
Real Estate Sector To Get Major Push
Strategically located along the Yamuna Expressway, Noida International Airport is planned as a multi-modal transport hub with seamless integration across road, rail, metro, and regional transit systems, ensuring efficient connectivity for passengers and cargo, which will ignite demands in the real estate sector. The commencement of the international airport draws investors' attention to the region. Several residential and commercial projects are coming in the area, which will also create a lot of jobs and boost local economy.
82.94-Acre Solar Farm
A solar park spread over 82.94 acres with a capacity of 51,966 megawatt-hours and electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities across 20 per cent of the parking area will anchor the green infrastructure of the upcoming Noida International Airport. The airport will operate with extensive use of renewable energy and electric mobility, with all vehicles deployed for airside operations to be 100 per cent electric and supported by multiple charging points installed at different locations on the campus.
Construction Of Greenfield Connectivity To Noida Airport
Recently, the Centre has approved the Revised Total Capital Cost of Rs. 3630.77 crore for the Construction of Greenfield Connectivity to Jewar International Airport from Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna Spur of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Hybrid Annuity Mode in the States of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. This 31.42 km long project corridor will provide direct and high-speed connectivity from South Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram to Jewar International Airport, thereby promoting economic growth and logistics efficiency across NCR.
