In a major success, Noida Police on Saturday arrested Aditya Anand, an accused in the April 13 violence during workers' protest over wages hike, who was absconding since the incident.

Five teams were searching for him after the police identified him as the mastermind behind the violence. He was arrested in Tamil Nadu. Earlier, it was reported that he was suspected of hiding in Delhi.

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has discovered a direct terror connection to the Noida violence. The ATS team, which arrived in Noida on Thursday to investigate the case, discovered that the operators of the two X accounts, used to incite violence, had spoken several times with the handlers of terrorists arrested in Lucknow two weeks ago.

Posts were made on April 13 and 14 from two X-accounts named Anushi Tiwari Proud Indian Nabi, and Mir Ilyas INC. The handles allegedly spread fake information about the deaths in the Noida violence. These X accounts were found by the Gautam Buddha Nagar police during their investigation into the violence.

According to sources cited by Jagran.com in their report, ATS believes that the arson in Noida was carried out in the pattern of the arson video found on the phones of terrorists arrested from Lucknow.

Who is Aditya Anand?

Aditya Anand, the mastermind of the violence, is a resident of Jharkhand's Hazaribagh and a B-Tech graduate from NIT Jamshedpur.

Since 2020, he has been trying to incite violence across the country. Auto drivers Rupesh Roy and Manisha Chauhan, both from Bihar, are also prime accused in this case. Both Rupesh and Manisha were arrested in April.

These accused have previously been found present at anti-CAA-NRC protests in Delhi.

How were workers connected and incited?

Noida police unearthed the entire conspiracy where the three accused had reached Noida on March 31 and April 1.

On April 9 and 10, several WhatsApp groups were created, and workers were added to them using QR codes. These groups were used to incite the mob, along with the aforementioned X handles.
