Pahalgam Attack Live News Updates: Amid an intensified action from security forces following the terror attack that killed 26 people in Pahalgam, one of the terrorists got eliminated in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district. The encounter broke out after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces during a search operation. The officials stated that a cordon and search operation was launched by the security forces in the Kulnar Bazipora area of Bandipora district after receiving an information regarding the presence of the terrorists in the area.
The houses of two Lashkar terrorists involved in the terror attack also got destroyed on Friday. The actions were taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, while addressing a crowd in Bihar, said, "India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backer," Modi said. "We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth." Chief of Army Staff Upendra Dwivedi on Friday arrived in Kashmir to observe the situation where he was briefed by 15 corps. Dwivedi will review security arrangements and will also visit Pahalgam.
