Pahalgam Attack Live Updates: Pak Seeks 'International Probe' Into Terror Incident; Homes Of Three Terrorists Demolished

After multiple diplomatic actions from India following the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed, Pakistan stated an international probe is required into the incident. 

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar arrives at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a key meeting to discuss the future course of action on the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 with Pakistan, which has been kept in abeyance. Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Paatil and senior officials of several ministries will take part in the meeting. The meeting is expected to discuss the future course of action and how to implement the decision to keep the treaty in abeyance.

Army chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi has reached Udhampur to review the security situation at the Northern Command headquarters there. The chief is being briefed on the security situation along the LoC in Poonch-Rajouri districts and other areas South of Pir Panjal mountain ranges: Army officials

Rahul Gandhi, after meeting with victims and family members, stated that the Kashmir's residents are with India and the opposition will support the government in the action against terrorism. 

"I came here to get a sense of what is going on and to help. The entire people of Jammu and Kashmir have condemned this terrible action, and they've fully supported the nation. I met one of the people who was injured...My love and affection to everybody who has lost family members, and I want everybody to know that the whole nation is standing together as one," Gandhi was quoted as saying by ANI.

Aligarh DM Sanjeev Ranjan informed that around 50 Pak nationals are currently in Aligarh on visa. “The exact number lies with the LIU. According to the information I have, the number is around 50. Central agencies are working on this and we will give whatever support they ask from us,” Ranjan was quoted as saying by ANI.

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Friday condemned the killing of innocent people in Pahalgam attack. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah talks to CMs of all states, asking them to facilitate return of Pak nationals. He emphasised that the Pak nationals should be sent back as soon as possible. 

Army chief Upendra Dwivedi has met LG Manoj Sinha following the deadly Pahalgam attack. LG reportedly asked the army chief to break the entire ecosystem of terrorism, reported ANI 

Famous singer Arijit Singh on Friday announced that he will cancel his Chennai concert in solidarity with the Pahalgam attack.

BJP MP and Confederation of All India Traders chief Praveen Khandelwal on Friday announced that over 900 markets in Delhi will remain closed in solidarity with the Pahalgam attack.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi arrived in Srinagar to observe the situation and is likely to meet the family members of the deceased. Gandhi is also likely to meet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and LG Manoj Sinha.
