Parliament Monsoon Session Live Updates: Op Sindoor Debate In Lok Sabha On July 28 As Government Accepts Oppn's Demand

Parliament Monsoon Session 2025: Opposition leaders stage a protest outside the Parliament as the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm due to the sloganeering and protest over the Bihar SIR.
Both the houses, the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, have been witnessing continuous disruption over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Bihar voter roll. The opposition has been demanding that the SIR be taken back and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, should be given a chance to speak in the house. The opposition has been protesting inside and outside the parliament for the same.
The first four days of the Monsoon Session were rocked by adjournment as the opposition leader continued their protest. The Lok Sabha's proceedings were cut short, functioning for less than 12 minutes on Thursday before being adjourned for the day at 2 pm. Speaker Om Birla had to adjourn the proceedings on Thursday morning when Opposition members raised slogans, entered the Well of the House, and displayed placards.
This followed a similar scene in the Rajya Sabha the previous day, where the Upper House's proceedings were adjourned in under a minute at 2 pm amid a ruckus.
