The proceedings of Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 3.15 pm amid stalemate over Opposition's demand for presence of Home Minister Amit Shah in the House.

The proceedings of Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 11 AM on August 7 amid opposition sloganeering after the passage of the Taxation Laws Bill and changes to the payment and settlement system Act.

The proceedings of Rajya Sabha got adjourned till 2.15 pm on Thursday amid huge ruckus by the opposition MPs who demanded a detailed discussion on the alleged use of excessive force against the protesting students. 

An intense argument broke out between parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday in the Rajya Sabha. Rijiju alleged that the veteran leader has been raising same questions everyday, to which, Kharge replied that the union minister cannot decide what and when he will speak.

Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad on Thursday alleged that the government has not taken any concrete action in the alleged Ram mandir donation theft case. "It's regrettable that the government is doing nothing about it. It is defending itself and is reluctant to give any statement or hold a discussion in the House. It is because of this that the House is being adjourned repeatedly," Prasad said. 

BJP MP Anurag Thakur on Thursday criticized Congress for creating ruckus inside the parliament. He further alleged that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has not been active in the house.

"This is the third week of the Parliament session, but Rahul Gandhi has not been seen even thrice in the House. He doesn't come to the Lok Sabha. During the 12-hour-long discussion on the anti-paper leak bill, not even 12 words were spoken on the bill by the Congress party," Thakur said.

Independent MP Pappu Yadav on Thursday stated that while the Delhi police took harsh action against the protesting students, the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand is having dialogue with the students. "Here the response was lathi-charge and gunfire. There, the dialogue is proceeding in a spirit of family-like cooperation... Rahul Gandhi is absolutely raising his voice about this," Yadav said. 

Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj on Thursday stated that the government is not letting the opposition speak in the parliament. "The government is neither issuing a single statement nor allowing us the chance to speak in the Parliament," Saroj said. 

Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi on Thursday alleged that the government has been running away from the parliament to avoid discussion on the police action on the protesters.

"The Congress has been regularly protesting over the basic issues, people's issues, lathi-charge against students, 'chadhawa chori', and seeking answers from the government. The government is running away from the Parliament, the whole opposition unitedly asking them to come, but they are not having the courage to speak on people's issues," Pratapgarhi said.

The proceedings of Lok Sabha on Thursday was adjourned till 2 PM amid the ruckus by the opposition MPs over demands of discussion on several issues, including alleged use of excessive force against the protesters and the Ram mandir donation theft row. 

The opposition MPs staged a protest at the Makar Dwar inside Parliament premises over Ram Mandir donation theft allegations. 

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari on Thursday stated that Rahul Gandhi has been raising the issues of students, further advising the government to address the genuine concerns. "Today, Rahul Gandhi's voice is among the strongest and most fearless voices speaking for students and their issues, whether in Jharkhand, Delhi's Jantar Mantar, or any other part of the country. Our stand is clear: the genuine demands of students must be addressed," Tiwari said. 

BJP MP Satish Punia, while talking to the reporters, accused Congress and Rahul Gandhi of being indulged in negative politics. "First his party Congress was yearning for opposition status, then it happened, he became the LoP, when we talk about Viksit Bharat, he should have played the role of a constructive opposition, he should have talked reasonably on the issues, that way, he could have done good to the country, and himself," he said. 

Congress MP Manickam Tagore on Thursday stated that the allegations of use of excessive force against the protesters must be examined in a transparent manner. "It has been alleged that lathi charges, pellet guns, tear gas, and water cannons were used against students, including female participants, resulting in injuries and widespread public concern. These allegations require a full, fair, and transparent examination," he said.  

Congress MP Pawan Khera on Thursday claimed that the BJP was afraid of Rahul Gandhi after the Kayastha Pathshala Trust revoked permission for Gandhi's 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' programme in Prayagraj. "This is a struggle, we will be struggling, these people fear Rahul Gandhi, inside the Parliament, and outside as well, let them be frightened, we will continue to make them frightened... We will keep on doing our work, this programme will happen," Khera stated.
