Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE Updates: Both Houses Adjourned Again Till 2 PM As Oppn MPs Continue Sloganeering

Parliament Monsoon Session Live Updates: The Monsoon Session of Parliament kicked off on a stormy note on Monday, with opposition parties creating a ruckus and raising slogans demanding discussions on several key issues, including the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and the controversial revision of the Bihar voter list. The disruption is expected to spill over into Tuesday as well.
The INDIA bloc parties are scheduled to meet before the day's proceedings begin to chalk out their strategy. On the other hand, the government and the BJP have said they are open to discussions on any matter and urged the opposition to allow Parliament to function smoothly.
Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar tendered his resignation on Monday evening, citing health reasons. Earlier in the day, he had accepted a demand for a discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Upper House. While the government has not fixed a date for the debate yet, it has assured that 25 hours will be set aside for it later in the session.
Another major issue that surfaced was the impeachment motion against Justice Yashwant Varma of the Allahabad High Court, who is under scrutiny in connection with the burnt cash controversy. Close to 200 MPs signed the motion, which was accepted by Vice President Dhankhar and forwarded for further action.
