Parliament Session 2024 LIVE Updates: The Opposition on Friday is expected to raise in Parliament the issue surrounding alleged irregularities in the conduct of the NEET-UG medical entrance exam held on May 5 this year. The decision was taken at a meeting of the floor leaders of INDIA bloc parties held at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's residence Thursday.
Adjournment motions over the NEET-UG "paper leak" issue will be moved in the Parliament, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva had said. "We will give notices (in Parliament) on the NEET issue tomorrow," the parliamentarian stated on Thursday. As per INDIA bloc leaders, the Opposition alliance will raise several other issues besides the one over NEET-UG medical entrance examination on Friday.
Rashtriya Loktantrik Party supremo Hanuman Beniwal, who too attended the meeting at Kharge's residence, stated, "The Opposition is united and it will raise the issues of NEET, Agniveer, inflation and unemployment and MSP in the Parliament."
Friday (June 28), the fifth day of the ongoing inaugural session of the 18th Lok Sabha, is dedicated to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address. BJP MP and former union minister Anurag Thakur will move the Motion of Thanks in Lok Sabha. The motion will be seconded by BJP's Bansuri Swaraj, a parliamentary bulletin informed.
