PM Awas Yojana: The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) has launched a new survey in Palwal district, Haryana, to provide permanent houses for families living in kuccha (temporary) or dilapidated homes. Eligible families can participate by getting their survey done through a registered surveyor or by self-survey using the Awas Plus app. The last date to complete the survey is March 31, 2025, as per the central government’s guidelines, as reported Jagran.com.

Under PMAY-G, the central government offers Rs 1,38,000 in financial aid to help rural families build new homes. According to Dr. Harish Kumar Vashisth, District Deputy Commissioner, the scheme targets homeless families and those living in unsafe structures.

Families previously left out of the scheme will now be included through this new survey. The Ministry of Rural Development and the Sarv Sva Awas Department, Haryana, are working together to ensure that all eligible families receive assistance.

Who Can Apply and How?

Eligible families can complete their survey in two ways:

- Through a Registered Surveyor – Appointed by the department.

- Self-Survey – Using the Awas Plus app with the help of the village sarpanch, panch, village secretary, or the Block Development and Panchayat Office.

Who Is Not Eligible?

Families meeting any of the following exclusion criteria are not eligible for the scheme:

1. Owning motorized two/three/four-wheelers or fishing boats.

2. Possessing mechanized agricultural equipment.

3. Having a Kisan Credit Card with a limit of Rs 50,000 or more.

4. If any family member works as a government employee.

5. Families running a non-agricultural business registered with the government.

6. If any family member earns Rs 10,000 or more per month.

7. Families paying income tax or professional tax.

8. Ownership of a refrigerator or landline phone.

9. Having 2.5 acres or more of irrigated land with irrigation equipment.

10. Owning 5 acres or more of irrigated land for two crop seasons.

11. Possessing 7.5 acres or more of land with irrigation equipment.
