Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other MP's, will be attending a special screening of the film, 'The Sabarmati Report' in Parliament Complex's Library in New Delhi at 4 pm on Monday, December 2. The movie, which features Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna, was earlier praised by the PM. The movie focuses on the events leading up to the Godhra train tragedy in 2002. The incident, which killed 59 people, triggered communal riots in Gujarat that claimed more than 1,000 lives, mostly Muslims. PM Modi was the Chief Minister of the state at the time.
PM Modi had applauded the movie for “revealing the truth" hidden behind the train-burning incident and slammed the “fake narratives" around the matter, saying that “facts will always come out."
Reposting the film’s trailer on X, PM Modi said, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period. Eventually, the facts will always come out!"
Meanwhile, in another update, Vikrant Massey has taken a stern decision which apparently shocked his fans. Vikrant on Monday morning shared that he hinted at retirement from acting after he finishes his two films by 2025. Well, this came as a shock for his fans and well-wishers as the actor had basked in the success of his latest films like 12th Fail, Sector 36 and The Sabarmati Report.
Vikrant Massey took to Instagram and wrote, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise its time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
He added, “So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted.” The actor is currently working in two films Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
